Wildfires

One of the most salient threats to Mediterranean forest areas – and one that is greatly exacerbated by climate change – is the increasing risk of wildfires to forest ecosystems. Early detection and firefighting efforts, and above all, forest management and prevention, are key to mitigating fire risk for forests and the people who rely on them.
