NWFP

Non-Wood Forest Products (NWFP) are resources derived from forest ecosystems that are not timber-related. In the Mediterranean region this can include cork, resins, berries, nuts, and mushrooms, among many others. Enhanced forest management for these resources can optimise the forest’s economic value and offer great recreational potential, among other benefits.
