The 20th International Symposium on Legal Aspects of European Forest Sustainable Development will take place from 8 to 10 October 2025 in Brașov, Romania, hosted by the IUFRO Research Group 9.06.00 – Forest Law and Environmental Legislation. This in-person event will bring together legal scholars, forest policy experts, and practitioners to explore the evolving legal frameworks influencing sustainable forest management in Europe and beyond.

- Conflicts and synergies between forestry and nature conservation at both public and private property levels
- Overlaps and contradictions between forest and environmental legislation
- Legal boundaries on property use and statutory interventions

- Forest law enforcement mechanisms and their effectiveness
