The Croatian Forest Research Institute is organising the conference ‘Conference for the New Generation of Forest Researchers – ForX 2025’, aimed at early-career researchers whose work is related to forests, trees and associated ecosystems. The event will take place on 13-14 November 2025 at the Princess Hotel in Jastrebarsko, Croatia.
This initiative brings together young professionals, including engineers, research assistants, postdocs, and other colleagues in training, to present and discuss innovative research in various areas of forest science. The main themes of the conference include forest ecosystems and environmental pressures, sustainable natural resource management, technologies and innovations in forestry, urban forestry, and ‘out-of-the-ordinary forestry’ for research that does not fit into the traditional categories.
Proposals for oral and poster presentations are welcome, with a maximum limit of 2000 characters per abstract, to be submitted in English by 15 June 2025 via this online form.
The early bird registration fee for the two days is 150 euros. Participants will need to arrange their own accommodation, although a special rate has been arranged for attendees at the Princess Hotel.
