The photographic exhibition Emboscades. Dones i Bosc is part of the programme of the 12th edition of the FineArt Igualada Festival, an event that has established itself as one of the main references on the Spanish photographic circuit. Organised by the Igualada Photographic Association and the city council, FineArt Igualada aims to bring photography to all audiences, transforming urban spaces into temporary galleries and promoting the city of Igualada (65 km away from Barcelona) as a centre for photography and design.
In this context, Emboscades. Dones i Bosc is presented as a proposal that seeks to make visible the work of women in the forests of Catalonia. The exhibition invites visitors to explore the relationship between women and the natural environment, especially with regard to the management and conservation of forests. Through the photographic work of 18 women who, day after day, carry out their work in the forests, the exhibition highlights a fundamental, often invisible, work that is essential for the sustainability of our forests.
The exhibition highlights the important role that women play in forest and nature management, emphasising a form of work that, although traditionally unrecognised, brings a unique and different perspective to the challenges of caring for the environment. The exhibition calls for visibility for these women and spotlights the gender barriers that still exist in this working field.
Emboscades. Dones i Bosc can be visited at the Museu de la Pell de Igualada, located in the Espai Cultural Cal Boyer (Carrer del Dr. Joan Mercader, 1):
- The exhibition will be in Igualada until 16th March 2025
- Opening hours are from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 21:00.

After its time in the city of Igualada, Emboscades. Dones i Bosc will continue its journey in Vic. The exhibition will be available between 21 March and 13 April, coinciding with the BIT Congress 2025 and the Mercat del Ram, two important events that will attract numerous visitors to the city.
