It’s official! AgroForMed – a non-profit association that aims to develop agroforestry in the Mediterranean – has now been launched. The association’s activity is tridimensional:
- SCALE UP by developing agroforestry projects in the Mediterranean.
- SCALE OUT by collecting and disseminating agroforestry best practices in the Mediterranean.
- SCALE DEEP by creating a network of actors in the Mediterranean agroforestry sector.
Its ambition for 2024: Organize the very first “Mediterranean Agroforestry Conference”!
AgroForMed’s actions are guided by five core values:
- Participative – Fostering the common and supporting the collective.
- Farmer-led – Putting farmers at the core of development.
- Inclusive – Working together with all stakeholders.
- Integrated – Combining ecological, social, and economic dimensions to ensure sustainability.
- Holistic – Applying system thinking in everything AgroForMed does.
