What forestry model do we want in Europe?

The Union of Foresters of Southern Europe (USSE) and the Basque Government through HAZI Fundazioa will hold a conference entitled “Climate resilience, forest fires, circular bioeconomy… What forestry model do we want in Europe?” at the Kursaal Palace in San Sebastian. The event will take place on 14 March.

Leading voices in forestry – experts, policymakers, and regional representatives – will convene in San Sebastian to chart a course for Europe’s forests and define an ideal forestry model for Europe.

Magda Bou Dagher Kharrat, principal scientist at the European Forest Institute Mediterranean Facility (EFIMED), will be speaking at roundtable two, at 14:30 CET. The topic will be How to align the various policies affecting European forests with research and innovation and their implementation on the ground in the face of the climate crisis.
