This year 2024 marks the 8th edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week, a regional event organised every two years that brings together stakeholders, policy makers and the Mediterranean forestry research community. The event is a platform to enhance dialogue and communication on the challenges facing Mediterranean forests.

To warm up for the 2024 edition, which will take place from 4 to 8 November, we are launching a competition to design the logo of the event to invite all creative minds to design our official visual identity for the event! A logo that will help us communicate the importance of Mediterranean forests and the collaborative spirit of the initiative.

The winning design will mark the visual identity of the following editions and will be adapted to the recurrent Mediterranean Forest Weeks organised every two years.

Below you will find the competition details and guidelines for logo submission:

  • Eligibility: Open to designers, artists, and creative minds worldwide.
  • Award: The winner is invited to travel to Barcelona (Spain) and participate in the MFW from 4 to 8 November 2024 at the expenses of the organizers. The winner’s name will be published on the event material and online platform for the event of 2024 and the following ones.
  • Intellectual property: the intellectual property of the selected logo should be transferred to the Joint Organizing Committee (JOC) of the MFW.
