Forest Europe invites high-level representatives to their High-Level Policy Dialogue “Growing healthier forests: How can Sustainable Forest Management enhance resilience?”The event will take place on 9 November 2023 at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Berlin, and will be streamed live online.

The event will discuss how Sustainable Forest management (SFM) can serve as a backbone for resilience, stimulating cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration. It will consist of two consecutive round tables where the Director General and other participants will be able to interact directly with high-level speakers. To set the scene, leading scientists will present a science-policy synthesis and summarise the state-of-the-art research.

This dialogue will be an opportunity to bring together ministers responsible for forests, high-level policymakers, high-level representatives of environmental organisations, forest managers, forest owners, researchers, and youth, creating an opportunity to encourage synergies within the pan-European region and beyond.

The FOREST EUROPE Secretariat will prepare and widely disseminate “take-home messages” after the event in order to highlight the main outcomes of the debate and exchanges from the round tables.
