The Horizon 2020 FirEUrisk Project is promoting a series of training events to support the sharing and the inception of the project’s results between actors involved in wildfire management.
The first training event will give an overview of the project’s new fuel classification system and will be delivered by Elena Aragoneses from the University of Alcalá, Spain.
The training will take place on 2 February 2023 (10.00-12.00 CET) and is intended for graduate and Ph.D. students, researchers, and other actors involved in wildfire risk management. The training will provide attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to use it and explore the related European fuel map to assess fire risk in Europe. Data access and tools to analyze the dataset, along with examples of potential usage, will also be presented to help attendees adapt the FirEUrisk classification system to different spatial scales and different purposes.
For detailed information (objectives, results, format, and software needed), please check the training agenda.
Register now to the event! The deadline for registration closes on 26 January 2023.
