Nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation in the Mediterranean at COP27

PRIMA, the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area, is organising a Nature-based Solutions for climate change mitigation event at the Mediterranean Pavilion of the COP27 (Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt).

This event will take place on 14 November, the Water and Gender Day, from 10:00h to 11:00h Egypt local time (9:00h-10:00h CET).

The European Forest Institute Mediterranean Facility (EFIMED) will join the discussion moderated by the Union for the Mediterranean and attended by coordinators of PRIMA projects, as well as representatives of FAO, MEDPAN, MEDFUND PRINCE Albert II of Monaco Foundation, MEDWET, ICM-CSIC and national governments.

On this occasion, Michele Bozzano, Head of the EFIMED Facility, will have the opportunity to present how forests in the Mediterranean contribute to nature-based solutions aimed at mitigating and adapting to climate change.
