A Ministerial Decision to support Ukraine in rebuilding its forest sector was recently (30.08.2022) adopted at the first FOREST EUROPE High-Level Policy Dialogue.

Supporting the recovery and sustainable management of Ukrainian forests and its forest sector” was endorsed by the 44 Member States and now the FOREST EUROPE Secretariat (LUBo) is actively working on implementing this project with the support of Signatories and Observers.

FOREST EUROPE is now looking for your input and support and there are various ways to get involved.

  • Do you have any planned or already active projects or support activities of your government/your organisation that support the restoration and sustainable management of Ukrainian forests and its forestry sector?
  • Are you aware of any other international, national or regional initiatives in the field of forestry and/or nature conservation in Ukrainian forests?
  • Would you like to support this initiative?

If so, please contact Silvia Abruscato at silvia.abruscato@foresteurope.org
