Green4Care is a three-year project, co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aimed at innovating and promoting nature-based solutions for health, well-being, and social inclusion. The purpose of Green4C is to contribute to the development of Green Care (GC) entrepreneurial opportunities for students, researchers, professionals, as well as practitioners.

The European Forest Institute (EFI) is offering a traineeship in this framework. The main tasks of the trainee will include:

  • Supporting the organisation of hackathons on Green Care (autumn 2022): supporting and facilitating the hackathons in Padua, Brasov, Wageningen and Dublin – these are organised by the local partners; and organising one hackathon in Bonn
  • Supporting the organisation of a European lobby event for Green Care (October/November 2022; Bonn)
  • Supporting the Green4C Alliance through communication and facilitation of (digital) networking
  • Supporting fundraising by partners and EFI (incl. through grants)

Skills required

  • Independent working and research attitude
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritise
  • Analytical and critical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
  • MSc in forestry, landscape architecture, natural resource management, geography, public health, psychology, social care, or similar
  • The candidate should be officially residing in Germany, or willing to relocate to Germany for the duration of the traineeship

What we offer

  • Duty station at the EFI Bonn Office, Germany
  • Work in a young, international and highly motivated team
  • Monthly remuneration of 1500 EUR gross (full time, 37.5 hours per week). Any cost for visas, travel and accommodation on site will need to be covered by the successful applicant
  • Duration will be for a period of 3 months (intended start 15th of September 2022)
