15th International Scientific Conference on Energy and Climate Change

The Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, organises its 15th Annual International Scientific Conference on “Energy and Climate Change” during 12-14 October 2022. The event is held under the auspices of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Organization and the United Nations Academic Initiative (UNAI). KEPA collaborates with the Permanent International Secretariat (PERMIS) of the BSEC for the event.

In the framework of this event, the 9th “Green Energy Investment Forum” (first day) is organised with the participation of representatives from UNAI, BSEC – PERMIS, BSTDB, PABSEC, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, YPEKA, ambassadors from BSEC member states and EU countries, foreign EU officials, international and Greek financial organisations, local governments, etc.  The aim of these activities is to encourage stakeholders to promote green investments for tackling climate change and for the green transformation of the economy. 

KEPA, with the help of the Hellenic Green Fund, plans to bring start-ups and local governments together to engage in problem solving in the fields of green energy and climate change. Topics related to energy saving, energy poverty, technologies for fire protection, firefighting and forest certification for CO2 can constitute an open portfolio for the creative capacity of start-ups.
