New initiatives within the EFI Mediterranean network get underway in 2022!

The first 2022 newsletter from the EFI Mediterranean Network comes full of updates and interesting initiatives in the field of forestry! Firstly, the websites of new European initiatives such as the H2020 HoliSoils project on management practices, modelling and monitoring of European forest soils, and the new European Forest Institute’s Bioregions Facility have been launched. In addition, readers of this newsletter issue can learn more about the official launch of the EU-funded FIRE-RES project, which organised its kick-off meeting in Solsona (Spain).

In this January’s edition you can also find articles on the latest developments and results from other European projects to which EFI contributes, such as ROSEWOOD4.0 and INCREDIBLE, which have recently launched interesting publications contributing knowledge to the forestry field. Along with these recommendations, do not miss to sign up for the upcoming seventh edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week, which will take place on 21-25 March in Turkey.

As ever, this edition includes calls, upcoming events, and publications from all over the Mediterranean, as well as items of interest from elsewhere.
