Before the end of April, EFI’s Mediterranean Facility is pleased to share with its wide audience the monthly newsletter with the latest news from the Mediterranean network. In this issue the featured story is the success of the INCREDIBLE H2020 project that ended after more than 3 years running with a final conference bringing together more than 200 virtual participants. This EU-funded project, which reinforced a very extensive network of partners across the Mediterranean basin, has provided valuable information on the wealth of opportunities that non-wood forest products offer for the European bioeconomy.

In addition, readers will also find in the April issue many interesting articles on topics such as the socioeconomics behind fire-resilient landscapes, the importance of urban forests for health and quality of life, or pioneering research that focuses on forest ecosystems to prevent future pandemics.

As ever, this edition includes calls, upcoming events, and publications from all over the Mediterranean, as well as items of interest from elsewhere.
