The SustForest Plus project designed and developed a traceability system based on a client-server computer application in a web and Android environment, which allows to document in real time the path of the resin from its extraction in the forest to the factory where the first transformation will take place.

This product traceability facilitates the origin accreditation of the resin and serves as a business management tool for first transformation companies, allowing the monitoring and closing of transactions between the resins and the companies.

The ResinApp system enables processors, through their foresters or transporters, to control and manage resin shipments in the forest at the time of loading, generating electronic delivery notes based on a QR code printed on the barrels of cade oil (juniper tar) to control the traceability of the product to the factory scales.

The company’s administration receives the data of all the resins’ shipments in real time in a server, which will allow monitoring the information of the transactions and incorporating it automatically in its accounting and management system.

This product contributes to the specific objective of ‘Valuing SUDOE’s natural resins as technological raw material in the new European bioeconomy’, proving the effective link between the sustainably managed forest and the processing industry.
