Last November the LIFE FORECCAsT project organised the first European symposium “Adaptation of forests to climate change” where 150 experts on forests and climate change from 22 countries attended. During the 19th and 20th, participants shared knowledge, exchanged experiences and were inspired by each other, and were able to visit several demonstration sites for forest adaptation measures to climate change from the FORECCAsT project.

During the symposium, 16 oral presentations and 47 poster presentations were made, which are now available online for those interested on the symposium website.

FORECCAsT is a LIFE project aiming to provide Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park producers and forest managers with means to build a forest management strategy that favours territorial forest ecosystems and ensures a dynamic forestry sector.
