TREENNOVA: From Nature to Business

A four-day, intensive course organised by EIT Climate-KIC focusses on the development of sustainable forest use initiatives as a way to combat climate change.

TREENNOVA is an intensive, four-day course organised by EIT Climate-KIC, and focussed on forestry and environmental entrepreneurship, with the objective of detecting opportunities that could contribute to a business idea for the forest bioeconomy and natural heritage. Throughout this course, to be held on 2 December 2019 in Madrid, our team of coaches and partners will present examples of successful business models based on the value creation from intangible ecosystem services, while helping you to frame, develop and boost your own sustainable business project.

We are looking for people excited to innovate and motivated to implement initiatives based on the sustainable use of forests and natural products and services, as a way to combat climate change.

This course is designed with the following profiles in mind:

  • Postgraduate and doctoral students interested in forestry and environmental entrepreneurship or launching a sustainable business idea
  • Professionals in the field of ecosystem services
  • Researchers and professors in the area of ​​Market and Economy of Ecosystem Services, or who are interested in valuing their research on the MEEB from an economic and business point of view.

The course will be taught in English so it is mandatory to have sufficient knowledge of the language to be able to actively participate in the course.
