12 scholarships for MSc in Sustainable Development

KU Leuven offers 12 scholarships for its MSc in Sustainable Development to students from Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Applications are open for the annual VLIR-UOS Scholarship programme designed to encourage students from selected African, Latin American and Asian countries to study at the University of Leuven, Belgium. This year, there are 12 scholarships available to study the two-year Master of Science in Sustainable Development. Applicants must be a national and resident of one of the following 31 scholarship countries at the time of the application.

The Master in Sustainable Development aims to train students to become the agents of change that will imagine, trigger and implement the sustainability transition of the 21st century. Its strength is its interdisciplinary character, bridging societal and ecological sustainability challenges. The programme offers a common interdisciplinary core and two specialisation tracks: “Space & Society” and “Ecology”.

Keep in mind these important application deadlines:

  • 1 February 2020: for VLIR-UOS scholarship applicants
  • 1 March 2020: for non-European students
  • 1 June 2020: for European students.
