The Wood Circus project funded by the European Union’s H2020 programme, which aims to promote wood-based value chains as a key part of the circular bioeconomy in Europe, has recently opened the 3W Factor call for innovative small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with bright ideas for the future.
Through the 3W Factor competition, SMEs in wood construction value chains are invited to present their efficient solutions or their most revolutionary innovations in areas such as wood processing, wood recycling and wood reuse. The aim of this call is to highlight a wide range of initiatives that contribute to the circular economy and to the promotion of bioeconomy in Europe, as well as to give visibility and promote the benefits for Europe of these new practices.
Although the WoodCircus initiative generally falls within the scope of wood construction, the 3W Factor call is not limited to any specific type of production chain or forest technology. Have you found the best solution or innovation related to wood processing, energy efficiency or reuse of waste wood or raw materials? Then don’t miss this call for innovations. Three of the most cutting-edge solutions will be awarded and will be invited to showcase their efficiency at the WoodCircus Conference scheduled for 2021. The first deadline for submission of applications for the contest ends on 30 November 2019.
