GenTree Final Conference: Genetics for a sustainable forest management

Genetics for greater sustainability in forest management will be the main topic during the scientific event “Genetics to the rescue: managing forests sustainably in a changing world” that will take place in Avignon, France from 27 to 31 January 2020.

The highlight of the week will be the final conference of the GenTree project, to be held on 28-29 January, focusing on four main themes: genomes and the environment; local adaptation of climate change traits; conservation and use of genetic diversity; and evolutionary management of forests. Call for abstracts is open until 15 October 2019.

The scientific conference will welcome a maximum of 250 participants while the training and the stakeholder sessions held back to back with the conference will welcome no more than 80 participants each and the Wikipedia traning session no more than 20 participants.
