SWST International Convention 2020: Renewable resources for a sustainable and healthy future

One of the European Forest Institute’s member organisations, InnoRenew CoE, will host the 63rd international convention of the International Society for Wood Science and Technology (SWST) to be held in Portorož, Slovenia, next July 2020.

The SWST is a professional organisation of scientists, engineers and wood marketing specialists dedicated to protecting the forest through the development of new initiatives, ideas and products for the wood industry.

The event’s sessions in Slovenia will revolve around several key areas covering biodegradation and the impact of forest disturbances, wood engineering, sustainable architecture, wood on health and mechanics, as well as topics from other fields such as business, marketing, digitalisation and wood regulation.
