The University of Padova invites excellent students to apply to its three-year full-time PhD programme Land, Environment, Resources and Health (LERH). The institution offers 15 PhD positions and 13 scholarships to the best applicants.
LERH is an educational programme of excellence for studying the processes governing forest and agricultural ecosystems and food quality and to train researchers in integrated strategies for the management of natural resources, for promoting an intersectoral rural development and associated bio-based economic activities. The emphasis is on basic and applied research on agriforest ecosystems, sustainable technologies, innovative management options and integrated policies.
LERH is part of the University of Padova, located in the North-East of Italy. The PhD course is organised by the Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry (TESAF, in Italian) and offers a stimulating learning and research environment to students from around the world.
The programme is open to students from all countries, provided they hold a Master’s degree or equivalent. Students who are expected to graduate before 30 September 2019 may apply as well.
