The International Symposium on Agriculture (AGROSYM) is an annual platform for international scientific debate on agriculture, food, rural development, environment and forestry. This year, in its 10th edition, the symposium will be held in Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 3 – 6 October 2019.
The event represents a good opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen existing academic networks and foster dialogue between academia, public institutions, the private sector and civil society organisations on recent global and regional trends in the agro-food sector.
The 10th AGROSYM will make an important contribution to agricultural practice in different areas and disseminate knowledge to all actors in the agro-food chain (e.g. farmers, land owners, researchers, policy-makers), as well as to the general public.
The 2019 event will tackle the following thematic areas:
- Plant production
- Plant protection and food safety
- Organic agriculture
- Environmental protection and natural resources management
- Animal husbandry
- Rural development and agro-economy
- Forestry and agro-forestry
This event is organised by the University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; University of Belgrade, Serbia; and CIHEAM-Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari, Italy, in collaboration with 32 other research and academia institutions. The official language of the symposium is English.
