The next general assembly of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network (MedForum) will be held in April as an official side event of the Sixth Mediterranean Forestry Week (MFW), which will take place in Brummana, Lebanon with the theme “The role of Mediterranean forests in the Paris Agreement: challenges and opportunities.”

The MedForum side event will be entitled “Forest-Based Solutions: The impacts of the Model Forest in the Mediterranean and beyond” and will bring together representatives of Model Forests throughout the Mediterranean to encourage debate, develop policy recommendations, share best practices and innovations, and promote bilateral and multilateral collaboration with the private sector.

This event has been organised by Cesefor, with the financial support of the Secretariat of the International Model Forest Network and FAO. The Regional Government of Castile and Leon and the Regional Government of Tuscany also act as advisers in the organising committee of MedForum.
