Applications are open for a new position as an International Consultant for FAO in Algeria.
The position is under the general supervision of the FAO Representative in Algeria, technical supervision of the Forest Technical Officer (LTO) and in close collaboration with the SNE Forestry Technical Officer and the National Coordinator as well as the other members of the team. The primary tasks of the International Legal Consultant positition involve conducting an analysis of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the management and valuation of non-timber forest products with a view to identifying (i) the gaps that need to be filled to create a legal environment appropriate to the development of this sector and (ii) the steps to be taken to create this legal environment.
