24 – 27 September 2019, Valladolid, Spain.
The XVIII Congress of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing, organised by the Atmospheric Optics Group of the University of Valladolid, will be held from 24 – 27 September 2019.
The theme of the Congress will be: “towards a global vision of climate change” – and its fundamental objective is to serve as a meeting point for the diverse communities involved in the use of remote sensing: scientists, the private sector and the institutional community. This forum will present the applications developed in the field of spatial planning, the environment and the development of methods and applications of remote sensing.
The MySustainableForest project, a collaboration between 11 institutional partners, including the European Forest Institute (EFI), is at the forefront of remote sensing applications that engage diverse stakeholders in forests across Europe. The project provides Earth Observation (EO) geo-information products across the wood sector to support the production chain from sustainable forest management procedures to wood quality entering sawmills, pulp mills or other wood transforming industries.
MySustainableForest translates and synthesises satellite, Lidar, meteorological and in-situ data, together with customised forestry models, to create site-specific products that support forest users’ decision-making.
