Esko Aho, former Prime Minister of Finland and Senior Fellow at Harvard University will consider a new paradigm for a new context for the bioeconomy. Xavier Marcet, President of Lead to Change, the Barcelona Drucker Society and professor at the Barcelona School of Management, will examine leadership in a world of accelerated changes and unprecedented challenges. EFI Director, Marc Palahí, chairs the session and hosts a panel discussion between speakers and participants.

The event is free of charge to attend and takes place on Monday 26 November in the beautiful Francesc Cambó Auditorium at the historic Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, in Barcelona, Spain.

The seminar marks the Opening Event for the 2018 edition of EFI’s Young Leadership Programme. The Programme’s Mediterranean edition (YLP-MED) provides training, knowledge sharing and networking on Mediterranean forest-based value chains and their contribution to a circular bioeconomy. In the week-long programme, held at EFI’s Barcelona offices, young professionals will interact with global and regional leaders, network with peers and develop strategic thinking on how to manage and use forest resources to address societal challenges.
